During the spring holidays, a three-day daytime camp was hold in the town of Avdiivka. Avdiivka is a front-line town: just 4200 feet are to the line of fire and 9000 feet to the famous airport. Children hear the sounds of war every day here, but in despite of all this, they remain children and need games, communication, and attention.

Children’s laughter, energy, and positive completely filled the building of the local church for three days. Every day 45-50 children came one hour earlier. They were waiting for us. We played together, sang songs, talked about God and the importance of reading the Bible, and after lunch children could display and discover their abilities and talents at various master classes for the children.
