January 2025 Update
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
SMO has completed another year of partnership with the ARK Singers. In March 2024 we lost the last “American Mom”. Mrs. Dot O’Neal went home to be with the Lord.
The following is an update from Ghennady Arkhypova with ARK Singers:
Dear friends, we congratulate you all on the past holidays of the Nativity of Christ and the New Year 2025! We want to wish you happiness, health, much joy, and most importantly, that all this was in Christ Jesus! Faithfulness to you, dear children of God, love and unity! The past 2024 was not an easy year for many of us. Someone this year lost their home, someone loved ones and relatives, someone was left without a beloved church and close friends, but worse if someone of us lost peace in the heart and faith and hope for the eternal abodes promised by God. God helped us and we saw His hand and His blessings last year. With His blessing and help, we were able to hold summer Christian camps for children and teenagers, travel thousands of kilometers without accidents, evacuating people from military points and bringing tons of humanitarian aid to those places, in the work of our children’s center and humanitarian hub in the city of Khmelnitsky, in crossing borders and holding evangelistic services, in various ministries in our church, as well as in Christmas productions and holding a winter camp for widows and single mothers with children. We also continue to work with children from single-parent and low-income families. We have invested a lot of strength, energy and effort in these services to people, but we understand that none of this would be possible without God’s blessing and your prayers and your participation. I would like to thank you all for your constancy and faithfulness in our joint ministry. To tell everyone who is interested in whether the “Ark” is alive and continues its voyage, that we, although in a changed composition, continue our many years of ministry. And today, more than ever before, we need your prayers and support. In conclusion, I would like to share with you two verses from the Bible, may they be an inspiration for you in this new year: Gal 6:9-10: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, and especially to those of the household of faith.” With respect to you, the musical group “Ark”, Ukraine.
We covet your continued prayers and support during the coming year. Please consider financially supporting this ministry. Please pray for the safety of the men and peace for their country.
In His Service,
